Reflections from June 2025 Beyond the Clock with Siricasso
Beyond the Clock Resident Artist Reflection, Written by Eliza Blue
Finding the lyrics for this song was not difficult. We are all custom made, but we often need artists like Siricasso to remind us of that fact.
I've known Siri for several years now, and I deeply admire everything about the way he carries himself through the world. Generous, expansive, with an air of possibility that transports those whose lives he touches from scarcity to abundance, I aspire to be like him in my work and life. And when he hears this song, I hope he hears my gratitude for the gift of knowing him.
Thank you Siricasso!
Lyrics for Siri's song, by Eliza Blue:
This is what is it looks like to have a hand made life
less is more and more and more and more
you are sturdy and well made
you're the beginning of the peace
you are the wine and roses
not the end of the war
You'll smile now, and cry later
and when it's time to cry
you'll dig deep
Take your tears to the canvas
you'll be surprised how far they reach
when you're the teacher and the student,
and the promises you keep.
You're the mirror of no one no one no one
you're custom made.
And when it's time to cry,
you're not afraid to dig deep
You smile now, and cry later
You smile now, and cry later
You smile now, and cry later
And when it's time to cry,
you'll dig deep

Siriaco “Siricasso” Garcia is based out of Huxley, Iowa. He is an artist guided by love of family and community; a Muralist, Event Organizer, Screenprinter, Afterschool Art Teacher and a Father. He has painted over 40 murals across central lowa, boldly outlining his figures with a thick black outline, calling attention to their presence against backdrops of bright colors. He loves telling stories in his work, Especially his own. He hopes to inspire people with his work and actions and frequently collaborates with other artists of all different facets to be able to bring art to communities he works in. This is best seen through the art events he hosts regularly to help other artists get exposure to people they would never have encountered and help foster a confidence in their ability to present their work to others. Art is his love and foundation. As an artist, he is committed to supporting the next generation of artists in both his private and public life. As a father, he guides his children and supports their art making. He sees his role as an artist to help others find that love themselves. #savetheart Visit Siricasso’s website here!
