Join us for an inspiring virtual conversation with rural artist, musician, poet, and storyteller Brigid Reedy (Dillon, Montana) at our next Beyond the Clock, which will take place on Tuesday, March 17th from 4 – 5 PM CST.
Brigid Reedy is a nationally-acclaimed musician, poet, storyteller, and artist from Southwest Montana who has spent her life immersed in the music, arts, and culture of the rural American West. Over the last two decades, Reedy has emerged as a vital force representing her beloved home state of Montana. She has appeared at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and The Grand Ole Opry, as well as being a featured teller at The International Storytelling Center and a long time staple at The National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
She has developed a unique and multifaceted artistic voice that is unconstrained by genre, era, or medium, yet unified by her strong identity and sense of place. She lives a life of creativity without borders—a nonlinear landscape of inspiration, passion, and relationships that pushes her ever-evolving work forward. To Reedy, preserving tradition is not a commitment to a fixed view of the past, but a vibrant, evolving practice reliant on the vitality of connection: shared humanity, the land, livestock, and living in conversation with artistic heritage.
BEYOND THE CLOCK is a monthly online gathering that fosters fellowship, shared learning, and community care for rural connectors and cultural workers. Co-hosted by the Department of Public Transformation and Voices for Rural Resilience, with support from the Rural Assembly, Beyond the Clock invites creative rural rockstars from across the country to share in digital happy hours and learning exchanges that connect and inspire.
