Small Town Artist Residency Program
The Dept of Public Transformation has teamed up with a host of amazing partners + the City of Granite Falls to take the first step in starting the first City Artist in Residence Program in a town of its size (pop. 2,800) in the country! We have a lot more work to do and funds to raise to get this program off the ground, but I want to acknowledge the Granite Falls City Council for their innovative leadership, unanimously approving working with us to embed artists in city departments! Check out an article about the program HERE! We will keep you updated on the progress.
The Yes! House
On April 13, 2018, Granite Falls resident Verona Dalin donated a Main Street Building to the Small Town Artist in Residence Program. The Department of Public Transformation will be facilitating a community-engaged design process over the coming months to inform the renovation of this creative community gathering space and artist residency.
