DoPT CEO Presents on Plenary Panel at California for the Arts Summit
Earlier this year, DoPT's CEO Ash Hanson attended California for the Arts Annual Summit and participated in a plenary panel titled "Building Economic Justice and Power," along with a breakout room session called "Rural Futures."
In both sessions, Ash advocated for investment in rural people and places and the need for geographic equity in philanthropy. She was honored to share the stage with Trevor Parham (Oakstop), Nwamaka Agbo, (Katalay Foundation & Restorative Economies Fund); Nu Goteh (ROOM FOR MAGIC & Deem Journal); Jack Forinash & Yue Nakayama (Blue Sky Center), Patricia "Paz" Zamora (7 GENerations Coming Home Arthouse) and Cara Gorger (Mariposa Arts Council). She was also thrilled to help co-host the Rural Futures Happy Hour with her fellow panelists!
